An amateur theatre group will be marking their 70th anniversary of their first production later this month.
And to celebrate, Carlisle's Green Room Club will be putting on an 'whodunit' Agatha Christie classic, Spider's Web.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: "Needless to say, there are plenty of 'red herrings' in the play, not to mention secret drawers, a secret passage and disappearing bodies to confuse the audience.
"It all adds up to an intriguing evening's theatre and the Club is hoping for increased audiences now that the Covid pandemic seems to be abating."
The play is being directed by long-time veteran John Metcalfe, who was told recently that his first directorial job for the Club was in the early 1960s when he directed Peter Shaffer's double-bill, The Private Ear and The Public Eye.
The event will run from March, 21 - 26, with tickets costing £10 throughout the week, the first showing on the Monday will be at the discounted rate of £5.
