A MAJOR milestone will be achieved this weekend by Cumbria's 'miracle boy'.
Noah Wall from near Wigton was born with only two per cent of a brain, which has now grown to about 80 per cent.
This Sunday will mark a major milestone as Noah turns ten.
Speaking to the News & Star about the milestone birthday, Noah's mum Shelly Wall said: "Noah keeps telling us how he can't believe that he's turning 10 years old.
"It's pretty amazing really obviously how Noah was right at the very beginning, when we were wondering how he would grow, what he would be like in himself, whether he would be able to hear or see or feed himself even and looking back now it's just incredible how much he has really come on in himself - he's doing his times tables, he's doing his two's, his five's his ten's... he's writing as well."
Noah will celebrate his birthday by visiting Beamish next week to visit the attraction, as well as enjoying a party with his family and friends - something the youngster has not been able to do since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdowns.
Shelly said: "One of the things he is really wanting to do is go there (Beamish) and watch them make sweets, we're also having a family party.
"This birthday will really mean a lot because he will be able to welcome people into his home again, talk to them face to face... and just to really have a jolly good time and that's what its all about just to have fun and make memories with his family and friends."
Among his many cards expected this weekend Noah gained some royal attention with a letter being sent from the Royal Family.
In a letter sent to Noah, the Countess of Wessex said: "May I also offer you my very best wishes for your 10th birthday in March and hope you enjoy your celebrations.
"You share a birthday with my husband!"
The miracle boy was also praised by Tim Peak on social media after he dressed as the astronaut for World Book Day.
