1. The biggest event this week is the Carlisle Half Marathon and the Carlisle 10K, starting at Brunton Park, Sunday, at 9am. Over 1,000 runners are expected for the Carlisle Half and will be showing support for the people of Ukraine at the firing line. Great event for the whole family to come out and cheer the runners as they traverse through the city streets. 

2. The country’s premier Foo Fighters tribute act will kick off their new UK tour in Carlisle on Saturday with a gig at the Old Fire Station. Lead singer Jay Apperley said: "Our goal is to give people a live Foo Fighters experience. Back-to-back hits, stadium anthems, deep cuts and more." 

3. If you're craving a libation this weekend, Brewdog will be kicking off their New York Beer Week, a great opportunity to sample fine ales and IPA's from Stateside.

4. Carlisle Utd will be taking on second in the table Northampton this Saturday at 3pm. A victory could see United cement themselves in the mid-table. The Blues' will also be playing at home on Tuesday evening against Newport County. 

5. The Howard Arms will be hosting a Murder Mystery Dining night on Saturday evening. The event will step back in time to Hollywood 1940's as patrons try to suss out the killer whilst enjoying a three-course fine dining experience. Tickets are priced at £40 per head. 

6. Carlisle Station Hotel will be hosting the exhilarating Target Wrestling as it comes to Carlisle on Saturday evening. The family-friendly event will host one of the most dominant tag teams in Yorkshire, Reece and Rogan, making their Target Wrestling debuts. 

7. If you're looking to catch a flick this week, The Vue cinema will be showing Batman, The Duke and Uncharted. The Brampton Community Centre will also be screening the Academy award-winning movie The Father on Saturday night, a portrayal of late-life dementia starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Coleman. 

8. The Tribe will putting on a day and night festival this weekend which will be blaring the sounds of house, d'n'b and grime. Plus there's plenty of great tasting street-food trucks homed there, including a delectable taco truck and Lebanese food stall. 

9. Thin Lizzy's latest lead singer, Ricky Warwick, will be rocking down The Brickyard on Saturday evening, alongside his band The Fighting Hearts. With tickets available online. 

10. On Saturday night at 8pm, The Solway Aviation Museum will be hosting an eerie and spook-tastic paranormal investigation into the museums history.
