A WORKINGTON care company has added a new appointment to their 'leading' team.
Bellcare, in Workington, has appointed Heather Stewart as their new training manager.
Heather who lives in Carlisle worked with Bellcare nine years ago but had to leave following a car accident, she said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be back working with the team at Bellcare.
"Having left several years ago after a car accident and losing my confidence on the roads, I have eventually overcome these fears and was overjoyed to be asked to return to the Bellcare family.
“I have worked in the care sector for most of my working life and I am very passionate that each of our service users has the highest quality and standard of care delivered to them.
“I feel privileged to have worked in both care homes and domiciliary care throughout my career.
“Within my role as Training and Care Planning Manager, it gives me the opportunity to share my expertise, experience, and knowledge to all our care staff both new and old.
“Whilst we have legal requirements for mandatory training in the care sector, I hope to ensure that this is an enjoyable and memorable experience rather than just another task to be completed.
“At Bellcare we pride ourselves on investing time and training for all of our staff and I am looking forward to giving support and encouragement to those who would like to further develop themselves to progress within the company and sector.”
Training manager at Bellcare is a vital role, explained registered manager Debbie Ellwood. “We have over 120 staff here and we are recruiting new carers often, so the role of a training manager is essential to our operation and is also key to the delivery of the high standard of care provision we provide," she said.
“We recently said goodbye to a fantastic asset to our team Jacqui Jewell, who was our previous training manager. Jacqui left due to family commitments, she will be missed, and we wish her all the best.
“Welcoming Heather back to our Bellcare family is just amazing, Heather is an exceptional trainer and bringing her back will help strengthen Bellcare’s quality and the performance of the team.”
Bellcare provides care to over 250 clients in their own homes across west and north Cumbria, Debbie said: “The management team at Bellcare is going from strength to strength and this year we will see lots of exciting developments being made to the company.”
