POLICE are investigating the fatal motorbike crash on Wigton Road on Monday (March 21) and are asking witnesses to come forward.
33-year-old Carlisle man Jason Farmer, who was riding a Suzuki motorcycle, died after a collision with an orange Ford Transit van at 3.05pm.
The crash happened near to Richard Rose Morton Academy. Wigton Road was cordoned off until 8pm whilst a police forensic collision team conducted an investigation.
Police are keen to identify the second motoryclist, who it is understood was riding with the victim on another motorbike.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Police are keen to identify the pictured motorcyclist, who we believe will have witnessed the collision, and ask they make contact with officers as they may be able to assist with the investigation.
"Police are working to piece together exactly what happened, including in the time leading up to the fatal collision, and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two motorbikes riding around the Dalston area or the vicinity of the collision on Wigton Road, in the time leading up to the collision.
"Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam and was travelling in the same areas, around the time of the collision.
