An exclusive international market will be returning back to Carlisle over the Easter Weekend.

The award-winning market, organised by Market Place Europe, will bring over 40 stalls of mouth-watering continental street eats and crafts for sale in Carlisle's City Centre on April 14-18.

The delectable stalls will be offering Greek gyros, Chinese food, crepes, paella, exotic burgers alongside an array of fresh foods including olives, cheeses, salami and handmade breads and cakes baked fresh on site.

Craft stalls on offer will be selling handmade jewellery, Fairtrade wooden furniture and carvings, and the famous Dutch Flowers on Tour selling a huge array of shrubs, bulbs, beautiful plants and trees as well as some great garden ornaments.

Portfolio holder for Culture, Heritage and Leisure Cllr Higg said: "There’s less than a month to go until the Easter International Market makes a visit to Carlisle and the countdown is underway for another great event.

"It’s always popular and attracts visitors from across the region. There will be lots to see and sample," he said.

And after your belly's full, there will be a continental street bar in place, allowing consumers the chance to unwind with a European selection of ales and wine.
