The air ambulance service responded to a callout after a walker fell in the Borrowdale area on Sunday afternoon (March 27)
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) attended to the injured patient at 3:13pm, of which the patient was then flown to Cumberland Infirmary.
A spokesperson from GNAAS said: "Our aircraft responded with a doctor and paramedic critical care team on board.
"We flew to Borrowdale at 15:13 after reports of a fall and arrived on scene in 14 minutes."
"The patient was treated on scene and transferred by helicopter to hospital," they said."
