A CROWN court judge is to sentence a 44-year-old Penrith woman who has admitted 'causing a nuisance' by threatening to jump off a bridge.
According to court records, the offence committed by Deborah Isabel Dixon on January 15 and 16 this year resulted in 'traffic being diverted' and 'emergency resources and public resources' being drained in order to contain and assist her.
The charge stated also that the defendant, of Carleton Road, Penrith, caused a nuisance at the A&E Department of Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary.
Dixon also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order by committing the first offence. Magistrates sitting at the city’s Rickergate court ruled that she should be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on April 14.
