The Predator Experience - Walking with Wolves

Join our wolf hybrid pack on a magical and informative “Wolf experience”. Set aside myth and legend, walk foot by paw, part on leash, held by you and part off leash!

A truly inspirational journey in the Lake District countryside. On the walk, the expert handler will guide you through all aspects of evolution, physiology, social structure, communication and conservation of the wolf. You will be welcomed as a member of the pack, hear them howl and if you would like to, you are welcome to howl with them!  

The Wolf Experience an exhilarating journey into the wild life of a wolf.

Because this is a “Walking with Wolves” experience, a reasonable level of fitness is required.

Farfield Mill

Farfield is a restored Victorian woollen mill in a quiet corner of Cumbria and in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Filled with artist studios, exhibitions, heritage displays, working looms, art and craft for sale by local artists, plus tea and cake at The Tea Room, there is something for everyone.

See resident artists in their studios working and creating beautiful art and craft. Learn about the heritage of our Mill from its early beginnings in 1836 through to when textile production ceased. Wordsworth Trust

For the first time ever, the manuscript of William Wordsworth’s poem ‘I wandered lonely as a Cloud’ is on display at Wordsworth Grasmere. 

The poem reimagines the experience William shared with Dorothy in 1802, one she also captured in her journal. The manuscript and journal can be viewed side-by-side in the current exhibition ‘Dorothy: Writer, Sister, Friend’.   

Today in Dove Cottage, visitors can experience the sights, sounds and smells of the past before emerging into the Garden-Orchard, a special place where William and Dorothy would walk, talk, write and relax in nature.  

In the Museum, follow the incredible story of the Wordsworths through journals, letters and objects and enjoy a selection of fun activities for all ages. Also onsite is a café, viewing station, woodland walks and temporary exhibitions – so there’s plenty to make a full day of your visit.
