JILL GLENCROSS
On Friday 8th April, 2022, Russell Hind, Jill's husband, left his career at Lloyd Body Shop after almost 30 years. Russ joins the business from Tuesday 19th April after a week's break with Jill and children, Abbie and Matthew which the family had booked before Covid.
Russ will be a valuable member of the expanding family business. Russ will join the team of 16 staff including Jill, Peter and Claire all Funeral Directors, office-based Julie and Janice, carers Chelsie and Olivia and then a team of 9 bearer/drivers.
Jill prides herself on being the busiest Funeral Director in Carlisle having cared for almost 900 families in three and a half years, being the only SAIF and NAFD accredited funeral director in Carlisle and one of very few female funeral directors. The carers in the business are all also female which is so important to Jill and many families.
Jill and her team try and fundraise whenever possible and have just donated hundreds of Easter eggs divided between Eden Valley Hospice, JIGSAW, Hospice at Home, CYZ, Women's Hostel, Cash 4 Kids, SCBU, Children's Ward and Kids A&E and also raised over £6,500 at Christmas for Eden Valley Hospice.
Jill and Claire have now decided to take part in the Great North Run, which takes place on Sunday, 11th September. Their aim is to raise £5,340 which equates to 30 nights of care with a registered nurse. If you can support them, please do so via the following link: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/gnrjillandclaire
Welcome Russ and thank you all for your support xx
