FRIENDS of Carlisle and Victorian Baths are set to host a talk regarding the history of bathing in the city.

As part of the Hadrian 1900 Festival, the group will host ‘Carlisle’s History of Bathing’ from its Roman Bathhouses to fashionable Victorian Turkish Baths, through to the current revival in cold-water swimming on Friday, May 13.
The evening will be hosted by Cakes & Ale & proceeds go to the campaign to preserve Carlisle's Turkish Baths.
