CUMBRIA police are dealing with a 'serious' road traffic collision on a Carlisle street.
The collision is said to have involved two vehicles with ambulance, air ambulance and Carlisle East fire crews attending the scene to assist the police.
Police are in attendance at the crash on the A7 Stanwix Bank in Carlisle.
A stretch off the A7 has been cordoned off whilst police investigate.
Emergency services are attending this ongoing incident which took place shortly after 4pm.
A spokesman said: "Cumbria Police are dealing with a serious RTC at Stanwix Bank, Carlisle, the road is closed while we deal with the incident. Please use alternative routes until further notice, thanks"
The road between Hardwicke Circus roundabout and Brampton Road is now re-opened.
