An indpendent gig promoter in Carlisle have announced that they will be hosting a concert with a top European act.
Glass City Presents have said that they will be welcoming alternative act The Klittens to The Source on May 15.
The Klittens have visited Carlisle before and have been very well received, there will also be support from popular local and national acts.
Mike Roper, who has helped to organise the concert said: "Glass City Presents are pleased to announce the return of the Klittens to the great border city with an evening of live music at the Source Collective on May 15.
"Hailing from Amsterdam this all-female post punk 5 piece wowed the crowd at their last appearance, playing the city's pop-up music venue at Warwick Bazaar. The band play indie-fuzz style rock with a DIY attitude, perfectly captured on their recently released debut EP, Citrus.
"Support from the evening comes from another all-female outfit, Carlisle's new-wave rockers We Are Quasars, Manchester's funky Swamp Chicken and a front room solo set from Flynt's Emma Dockeray."
Tickets for the event can be found on Skiddle for £5. However, as an independent music promoter, Glass City are also running a competition to support independent businesses in North Cumbria.
If you buy a ticket for the event from participating businesses (Warwick Bazaar, Vinyl Cafe, The Source Collective, Fell Penrith), while also supporting that business, you will be entered into a raffle to win a GCP goody bag, featuring EPs and recordings from the bands, t-shirts and other goodies, alongside tickets for future GCP shows, an A3 print of the event poster and free drinks for the evening.
The Source have also recently hosted a charity fundraiser event for Ukraine with acts from across Carlisle performing and showing their support for the people of Ukraine.
