A PLANNING application has been submitted for a new diner and drive-thru in Penrith.
A drive-thru for takeaway food is proposed to facilitate use by local workers at the site on Gilwilly Industrial Estate & Eden Business Park, Penrith.
The application was submitted to Eden District Council on April 25 by Manning Elliot Partnership on behalf of a client.

The application says: "The proposed development is designed as a modern, single storey building with a large glazed façade which in additional to being a focal point is a welcoming feature of the building.
"The glazed façade provides a light and airy space for the consumption of food and beverages.
"The monopitch roof will be clad in a modern roofing membrane for a singular appearance.
"The walls will be finished in white through-colour render whilst the windows and doors will be finished in grey aluminium."
