ELECTRICITY North West have confirmed that there is a live power cut in a number of areas of Carlisle.
The company were alerted to the power cut at 10:31am this morning (Tuesday, May 17).
It is thought that the power outage is affecting the English Street, Blackfriars, Viaduct, Devonshire areas of the city, with parts of Lowther leading up to the market square also suffering.
On their website, Electricity North West state: "We are sorry you are experiencing a power cut. We are currently investigating the issue.
"We estimate to have your power restored by Tuesday, May 17 at 1:31pm."
The company have stated that 331 of their customers have been affected by the power cut.
