A TEENAGE boy was subjected to an attempted robbery in a Carlisle park, police have said - with the 'four males' responsible fleeing when approached by a dog walker's Alsatian.
The incident happened in Rickerby Park near the cenotaph on April 16 at around 8pm.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: “During the incident, a 16-year-old boy has been approached by four males.
"One has approached the boy with a knife, another of the males has then sat on the victim looking for property.
“Nothing was taken and the boy was uninjured.
“The four males are described as all having beards, three were in tracksuits.
“Officers would like to speak with anyone with information in relation to the incident, in particular, the owner of a dog described as an Alsatian which approached the four males causing them to run off.”
