Emergency services are at the scene of a house fire in Distington and residents have been evacuated.
Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue were called at 4.47am today (22 May) with a report of a house fire at Toll Bar Houses.
The following roads are currently closed as Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service continue to tackle the fire:
- A595 closed between A597 and B5306
- B5306

Residents from neighbouring properties have been evacuated.
UPDATE: 9:50am
The northbound carriageway of the A595 has now reopened.
Distington southbound remains closed from Dobies Roundabout to Howgate Roundabout.
