HERE are our Pets of the Week, courtesy of Oak Tree Animals’ Charity.

ZOOKS

Zooks is a lovely one-year-old lurcher x Patterdale who weighs around 21kg. He has a lot of energy so will need a home that can provide lots of physical and mental stimulation. He may be a great candidate for someone who does park runs, fell running or canicross.

Zooks will need adopters who will continue his training but the good news is he is very keen and eager to learn. He responds well to our positive, games-based training so we will be looking for someone who will enjoy continuing that. Zooks is loving learning about Mantrailing, Agility and Hoopers and a load of other games. He will need lots of varying activities to tire him mentally and physically.

This lovely lad is not used to being left alone much and may well bark if left. We will be looking for a home that can potentially take him to work, or who has extended family perhaps, who could help with his day care until he learns that being left alone is nothing to worry about.

Zooks may be able to live with another dog subject to introductions going well. Due to his exuberance, we would only consider a home with older children, approx 14 plus. He loves his walks but would need to be kept safely on a lead around livestock.

MAGIC

Magic is a 20-year-old, 14.2hh, gelding and is looking for his forever home as a non-ridden companion horse.

This handsome equine is excellent to catch and lead and enjoys being groomed. He is good for both the farrier and vet. Magic has lived with mares and geldings and is currently living out 24/7 with a field shelter but he is equally happy being stabled overnight.

If you want to find out more information about Magic please email equine@oaktreeanimals.org.uk or for Zooks please email smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk with your name, address, contact number and a bit of information about yourself.
