St Bees Pre-school which is a privately run nursery have now opened dicussions to integrate more fully into the primary school.
The head of the pre-school alongside governors are looking to make the change and open the age range of the school.
To formally make the nursery part of the school, the age range of the school will be changed from 4 to 11 years of age to a new range of 2 to 11 years.
The extension of age range will allow the school to more effectively share its resources with the nursery, ensuring the children in the nursery see no changes to their day-to-day routine.
The pre-school ensure parents that their routine will not change and they will bring their pre-school children as they do now, and the school will treat the children in the same way.
Before making any changes, the school wants the parents views about the proposal and will create a consultation period which runs from June 6 2022 until July 15 2022.
