A businessman in Whitehaven has put a call out to people to visit his book shop as part of Independent Book Shop week.
Michael Moon who has owned a popular book shop in Whitehaven for a number of decades is encouraging people to visit his store.

Mr Moon said: "Its Independent Book Shop Week this week, so why not pay your local bookshop a visit.
"You can search for your local secondhand bookshops on the Book Guide and even leave a review."
The week aims to recognise small book shops around the UK and shine a light on the work that they do within our communities.
