AN awards dinner celebrated collaboration on infrastructure projects within a business supply chain.

The Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Nuclear business unit held its inaugural supply chain awards dinner at the North Lakes Hotel, Penrith.

The event, ‘Working together with our supply chain,’ saw suppliers and members of the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Nuclear unit come together to share and celebrate the successes they delivered in collaboration across their infrastructure projects.

Throughout the evening, the business’ underlying commitments, which support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, were clear.

As part of the commitment to enhance communities, local suppliers and small-medium enterprises supported the event wherever possible, from audio-visual setup and decorations to a raffle of local business products and produce in aid of local charity Owl Blue.

Eldon Garnett, managing director of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s Nuclear business unit, said: “We are pleased to be able to organise this event and invite our supply chain partners and clients. The supply chain is critical to our work and, in turn, to our clients’ overall missions. We need to recognise them and allow them to share their successes with each other and build relationships.”

Lyndsey Campbell, supply chain director of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s Nuclear business unit, said: “It was a pleasure to host our first supply chain collaboration and recognition event. Our supply chain is integral to our success and strengthening our relationships is a priority for us.

“The event gave the opportunity to celebrate, recognising the great work they do in collaboration with us across our projects.

“Our responsible business theme brought everyone together and utilising local services, entertainment, raffle prizes from local businesses and raising a fantastic amount for our nominated charity Owl Blue. Congratulations again to all our winners who received an award and for the generous donations to Owl Blue, we look forward to seeing you again next year.”

Nichola McDougall from Owl Blue said: “We are delighted at the recognition and invite to Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Nuclear’s supply chain event. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved for fundraising on our behalf during the evening. A fantastic total of £1,140 was raised, which will go directly to helping neurodiverse people in Cumbria NEWS RELEASE xx and the surrounding areas. Thank you once again and we look forward to working with the team in the future.”
