IN this week's Nostalgia, we look at all things farming across the decades throughout Cumbria. Immerse yourself in nature and animals with these pictures.
A lot of these photos show children and the young animals born on their families' farms. They look immensely proud, wearing big smiles on their faces.
However not all pictures show fond memories, as one photo shows Gerald and Noel Stockdale of Burthinghurst, Lanercost with county NFU secretary Roger Ward and NFU vice president Sidney Fawcett and Cumbria NFU hill farming official Ivor Jones as they look at land that suffered badly in the worst summer weather any of them could remember in 1985.
Another image shows someone who travelled far and wide to visit a Cumbrian farm as Joan Hall of Parkhead, Kirkoswald shows Miss Mary Christianson of North Dakota, USA, around the farm in 1969.
Mary was visiting Cumbria as part of an international YFC exchange visit.
Do you feature, or do you know anyone in these pictures? Perhaps you know which farms feature!
