Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland have recently launched The Big Birthday Bike Ride, in celebration of the charity’s 25th Anniversary.
The Big Birthday Bike Ride is a sponsored cycle event taking place within Hospice at Home’s Clinical Service Area on Saturday September 3 2022. Cyclists are invited to ‘Pedal for our Patients’ during this special year and enjoy a day of cycling.
The event is open to all adults, and offers two lengths of cycle ride approx. 30 miles or 62 miles. All bike types are welcomed.
The event will start at Dalston Recreation Centre and follow various National Cycle Network routes .
The Registration Fee is £30. This includes a breakfast station, snacks, lunch, a celebratory drink, and a free cycling top.
Each participant is asked to aim to raise £150 in sponsorship.
Cath Coates, Fundraiser for Hospice at Home said “By joining us on this special day, you will be helping to raise an estimated £15,000 for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, which provides a free service for patients in the North and East of Cumbria who have a life-limiting or life-threatening illness and wish to be cared for at home, with all that is loved and familiar around them."
