MAGISTRATES have handed a 37-month ban to a woman who was caught drink driving on a Carlisle street.
Anouska Hoskins, 30, committed the offence on June 28 as she drove a Ford Fiesta on Ashley Street, Carlisle. At the time, she had 49mcg of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
The defendant, of Low Meadow, was offered the drink driver rehabilitation course. Her ban will be reduced by 37 weeks if she completes the course by September 25 of 2024.
Magistrates also imposed a £120 fine, with costs and a victim surcharge. Her total debt to the court is £253. Her ban was so lengthy because of a previous offence of drug driving.
