IN line with the excitement of many as Cumbria's biggest music festival is set to return this weekend, we've had a dig through the archives and found some spectacular pictures of the festival over the years.
A sold-out Kendal Calling is set to grace the grasslands of Lowther Deer Park this weekend, with the festival returning for the first time in three years, means it may just be it's biggest year to date.
What you may not know about the festival is that it all started with a group of music enthuasists back in 2006 hosting a music party, and through determination managed to land the likes of Pendulum and British Sea-Power to the stage.
And that point the seed was planted for huge musical moments to take place in Cumbria.
Fast forward to this years line-up, it contains a huge A-list roster and for any indie-fans alike - it's one that you hope you have a ticket for.
Get your handbags and gladbags ready as you're in for a weekend full of Stereophonics; Bastille; The Kooks; Supergrass; Amy MacDonald; Craig David and so many more.
But that's not to detract for years gone by, in which the festival has hosted a plethora of big names such as Snoop Dogg; Manic Street Preachers; Nile Rodgers & Chic and Catfish and The Bottlemen.
Perhaps you were lucky enough to attend some of those gigs but those memories just seem a bit foggy now for some reason, don't worry, we've picked out some of our favourite photos of festival-goers in their elements over the years.
