A CORDON has been set up in Silloth as part of ongoing emergency services operation.
The cordon has been set up by Silloth seafront, near the Lifeboat Station Carpark and the funfair, where there is a large police presence.
Coastguards are also at the scene and Cumbria Police have been contacted, and are looking into the situation.
Social media posts about the situation suggest the incident is 'for what looks like a rescue or a recovery'.
