A fast-food and coffee business is going to set up shop in Cumbria.
Tim Hortons, a Canadian coffee and donuts chain, is going to open its first restaurant and drive-thru in Penrith later this year.
Located adjacent to Kemplay Bank Roundabout on Bridge Lane, the new restaurant is set to create up to 50 jobs for the local community, offering a combination of full-time and part-time roles with progression and training opportunities.
The announcement also forms part of the brand’s plan to double its estate across the country by the end of 2023.
The venue will offer dine-in seating for up to 80 guests as well as its drive-thru service.
Delivery options will also be made available following the launch.
Customers can expect coffee, freshly-baked doughnuts, hot sandwiches, wraps and burgers.
Kevin Hydes, the chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons in the UK commented: “We have a huge fan base in the north of England, so we are particularly excited to bring Tim Hortons to Penrith for the first time.
“We know locals, and those in the wider county will be delighted to hear we’re bringing our Canadian charm to Cumbria, and we look forward to connecting with the wonderful community.”
“Our amazing team, up and down the country, play a key part in the success of our brand and we are proud to be recruiting a large team for this restaurant with over 50 roles on offer.
“We welcome applications from all those passionate about a career in hospitality, no matter the experience and will be accepting applications from today via our website.”
