The street names have been revealed for two new housing developments by Gleeson Homes in Whitehaven.
The proposed street name for the estate built on the former Romar factory site at Ivy Mill, Main Street in Hensingham is Ivy Mills.
The name has been chosen by the developer due to the history of the site.
A street name has also been put forward for the new residential development on the land south of Waters Edge Close at Kells.

The proposed street name is Ladysmith Close, which is a nod to the former mine next to the site, which was called Ladysmith Pit.
The new street names were put before members of Whitehaven Town Council at a meeting held last week.
Councillors had no objections to the proposed street name and numbering for the development.
Gleeson Homes has been given the go-ahead for 26 homes on the former Romar factory site and 40 homes on land next to Waters Edge development and the former Marchon site.
The Romar factory site was flattened in 2017 after workwear and PPE manufacturer Romar Innovate Ltd downsized to a new location in Cleator Moor, following the end of its contract with Sellafield.
Marchon opened in 1943 and manufactured the raw materials for washing powders and toiletries for decades.
It was taken over by Rhodia in the late 1990s, but closed in 2005 and was demolished in 2012.
