A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of 'threats to kill' after an address was cordoned off in Maryport for some time last night.
Police were contacted at 8:55pm yesterday, September 1 to the report of a concern for welfare of a male at a property on Princess Drive, Maryport.
Officers attended and found the male was in possession of a knife inside the address. There was no-one else in the property.
A cordon was put in place during the incident.
Armed officers were deployed as a precaution and a man, 31, was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill.
The man was taken to hospital with a foot injury and is now in police custody.
