Police are asking the public if they have any information about two separate, but linked, incidents of criminal damage.
They happened between Thursday, September 1, and Tuesday, September 6, at High Hill in Keswick and Waterloo Street in Cockermouth respectively.
A single, clear panel on top of each of the flood defences have been damaged at both locations.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact Cumbria Police via www.Cumbria.police.uk/report-it.
You can also call 101, quoting log number 146 of September 6, 2022.
To report information completely anonymously, contact independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
