A COLLABORATIVE community advice and support event is set to return to Botcherby Community Centre this October.
From the same team that brought the Summer Harvest event, the Winter Harvest allows local residents to come find out about what advice and support is available to them especially as we go through a cost-of-living crisis.
The event will take place on October 5 and it aims to provide the community with information on help available to carry families through what will ultimately be a difficult winter period.
Families will also be able to pick up donated Halloween costumes as gifted by Tesco, as well as Christmas cake and cooking items, alongside the possibility of free items including blankets and socks.
Ann Crook of The Focus Family Team, Children’s Services said: "The Harvest event is jointly organised by Botcherby Community Centre, TESCO Warwick Road and The Focus Family Team to support the local community.
"The aim of this Harvest is to provide information, signposting and practical support around food & energy, benefit & employment advice, mental ill health support and other community based services.
"The Summer Harvest seen a footfall of over 60 people (plus lots of little people) who were supported with lots of practical support, advice and signposting, and free garden toys, beach towels and toiletries."
