COCKERMOUTH Mountain Rescue Team paid a poignant tribute to the late Queen at the weekend with a stunning picture taken whilst paying their respects to the late monarch.
The team from Cockermouth were on their annual training event at the weekend in the Ennerdale valley when they decided to take some time for a 'quiet moment' at the county's iconic Pillar Rock, after raising a glass to the Queen.
A spokesman said: "The team has just finished our annual training event in Ennerdale at the weekend.
"We raised a glass to Her Majesty the Queen, and rather than train on Sunday, we all headed to the top of Pillar Rock for a quiet moment and a stunning photo to remember the day."
