Carlisle United have confirmed how they will pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at tomorrow's home game.

The Blues' fixture against AFC Wimbledon is the club's first opportunity to honour Her late Majesty at Brunton Park.

And the club have advised supporters on the protocols for match day.

Players and officials will all wear black armbands.

United have also confirmed that only "selected anthems" will be played over their public address system, rather than the usual match day songs.

"The usual Fan Zone band will not be in attendance, and the Fan Zone will cease sales at 2.45pm to allow fans to enter the stadium in time," the Blues added.

After the players have taken to the pitch before the game, teams will line up around the centre circle, where a minute's silence will follow a tribute to the Queen over the Tannoy.

Fans will then be invited to sing the National Anthem.

United have advised fans to enter the ground no later than 2.45pm to enable them to join in the tributes.

Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm and ticket offices around the ground will pause sales at 2.55pm to enable all staff to pay their respects.

"Stewards will hold fans back from entering the stadium during the silence and National Anthem, and we ask fans to wait to be allowed into the ground on the completion of this," United added.

"There will be no crossbar challenge at half time, but the Golden Gamble, Shirts for Sevens and the half time game on the pitch will take place as normal."

The Blues took part in pre-match protocols at their away game against Mansfield Town on Tuesday, which included the release of 96 doves for each year of the Queen's life.
