INFRASTRUCTURE in Cumbria for electric cars is set for a boost if plans are approved by city planners.

Carlisle City Council has received a planning proposal from InstaVolt to install four electric vehicle charging stations at Orton Grange Farm.

If plans are approved, the electric charging points would be installed in the car park of the café and gifts shop.

The applicant, InstaVolt say the charging points will include “the latest cutting-edge technology to provide rapid charging to any EV.

"They can charge a vehicle with 120 miles of range in around 15 minutes and are able to deliver up to 120kW charging.”
