Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Peter McCall, is encouraging people to support Cumbria Pride which takes place on Saturday, September 25 at Caldew Riverside carpark.
“Celebrating our county’s incredible diversity is what Cumbria Pride is all about” said Cumbria’s PCC Peter McCall.
“I hope people will take the opportunity to come along to Cumbria Pride, visit our stall and let members of my office know your thoughts about policing in Cumbria.”
“Everybody should feel comfortable and safe being themselves and it’s important to be reminded of this when supporting our LGBTQ+ communities in Cumbria.”
This year’s Cumbria Pride is set to me amongst the biggest in the event’s history.
Adrian Tyson, Chair of Cumbria Police Pride Network comments: “Cumbria Pride is a place where everyone can celebrate being part of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a safe space for all.
“We work closely with our partners at Pride to ensure our LGBTQ+ community rightly feel supported, safe and included in Cumbria.
“There is no place for Hate in such a beautiful county.
