Cumbrian netball star Helen Housby will aim to help England turn the tables against old foes Australia next month.
Housby has been named in a 16-strong squad for a three-match series Down Under.
Housby, who is based in Australia with club side New South Wales Swifts, will hope to help the Vitality Roses to victory over the Commonwealth Games champions.
The Cumbrian, from Drumleaning near Wigton, was part of the England squad who lost their Commonwealth crown this summer, losing to the Aussies in the semi-final in Birmingham.
Head coach Jess Thirlby said: "To play the world number one team and Commonwealth Games champions on their home soil is something we've been keen to do ever since Covid hijacked our plans back in the autumn of 2020.
"We know how important it is to play the best teams frequently and in conditions that best prepare us for major tournaments. We look forward to the challenge and to welcoming a few new faces to the team."
The games against the Origin Diamonds in Australia are on Wednesday, October 26, Sunday, October 30 and Thursday, November 3.
