POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a lit firework was pushed through the letter box of a house in Carlisle.
The incident took place on Raffles Avenue, near Heysham Park, on September 18m, between 11pm and 12am.
Cumbria Constabulary have confirmed that nobody was hurt and no damage was caused as result of the highly dangerous incident.
A spokesperson from the organisation said: "It happened on September 18, between 11.15pm and 11.45pm, near Heysham Park.
"Police are investigating and would ask for anyone with any information to come forward.
