Using the police maps, the News and Star have outlined which areas have seen the largest number of reported crimes in the most recent data - and which area has seen the largest proportion of reported incidents of the current most common crime, violence and sexual offences.

St Bees

In St Bees, the crime most heavily reported in June 2022, was violence and sexual offences, with a total of 5 seperate reports. The largest proportion of these reports were in reference to incidents on or near St Bees Main Street, with 3 reports made on that stretch of road.

In Allonby, the crime most heavily reported in June 2022, was burglary, with a total of 2 seperate reports. One incident occurred near the Mealo House Caravan Park and the other close to Spring Lea Holiday Centre.
