North and West Cumbria's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
One of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week for the Carlisle area.
The one that is expected to cause delays of up to 30 minutes is a lane closure of slip roads on the M6 northbound and southbound, junction 42.
This is for lighting renewal, and has been in place from 8am on October 3, remaining in place until 6pm on October 27.
The other, which is expected to cause slight delays of under 10 minutes, is a single lane closure with traffic signals on the A69 Brampton Bypass to Temon.
This is to allow safety barrier replacement, and will last from 7pm on October 5 to 6am on December 2.
Allerdale's one closure is only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
Traffic signals will be in place on the A66 eastbound and westbound from the Lambfoot junction to Dubwath for the installation of ‘vehicle activated signs’.
This will be in place from 9am on October 17, and will remain until 4:30pm on December 2.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
