A SUBVERSIVE comedy night is coming to West Cumbria.
‘Comedy Unleashed’, the brainchild of comedian Andrew Doyle, is touring the UK.
The brand’s mix of comedians say they share a belief that no-one should be censored, saying no subject is off limits – if it’s funny, it’s funny.
There is, therefore, no fear for these comedians in exploring prejudices, contrarian views and hidden thoughts, they say.
The tour stops at Millom, as three comedians perform at the Beggar’s Theatre on October 14.
The line-up features comedians Tony Burgess, Tania Edwards and Chris McGlade.
Andrew Doyle said: “We set up Comedy Unleashed because we feel that the time is right for a new alternative comedy movement.
“We book comics from all political backgrounds, or those who have no interest in politics at all.
“Our key criteria is that they are talented and funny.
“It never ceases to amaze me that this is considered in any way controversial.”
