TRAFFIC was moving slowly on a main road through Whitehaven this morning - after water built up in the area, flooding parts of the road.
The road flooded outside of the Wetherspoon's Bransty Arch on Bransty Row in the town- causing issues with traffic moving into the town centre.
Heavy rainfall has caused a number of small flash flood events in recent days.
Across the Cumbria area, as of 5.30pm on Friday, October 7, one flood warning exists at Keswick campsite, and there is one flood alert at the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water.
Meanwhile, two flood warnings have been removed, at the Rivers Greta, St Johns Beck and Bassenthwaite Lake, and the River South Tyne.
