A CARLISLE aquatics supplier has announced with a 'heavy heart' that it will be closing its business after 42 years of trading.
Victoria Aquatics, on Victoria Road said they are closing the much-loved business due to the 'impossible' price of electricity.
However, the business won't close straight away as the company needs to sell its remaining stock.
Mike, Maureen and Glen from Victoria Aquatics said in a message on social media: "It is with a heavy heart I’m announcing the closure of Victoria Aquatics, as it's impossible to carry on with the price of electric.
"We have been established for 42 years, we have come to love and appreciate our loyal customers and customers that’s become good friends.
"We won’t be closing straight away as it going to run our stock down so please call in. Take care, much love."
The post has attracted more than 50 comments from customers and well-wishers. "What a shame," one said, "you've been a great source of knowledge to many people and you will be sorely missed."
