Police have made an arrest after a firework was thrown onto the pitch during the Barrow v Carlisle United game in the Papa John's Trophy.
It followed the shocking incident when a firework landed in the United penalty area in the third minute of the match.
Footage clearly showed the device being launched from the home end.
And Barrow AFC's police account confirmed on Twitter that an arrest had subsequently been made.
"Working alongside the club, Cumbria Police have now arrested one male in relation to the firework thrown on the pitch in the early stages of the match," the statement said.

"I remind you, this is an offence and is extremely dangerous and will not be tolerated."
Footage from iFollow shows a firework being launched from a section of the home end at Holker Street during the third minute of the game.
The device landed in the Carlisle penalty area and then exploded.
Thankfully the player closest to the firework - United keeper Michael Kelly - was unhurt.

But the incident saw the game suspended for 17 minutes as police and security staff investigated.
Talks went on between officers and match officials as well as club staff and players, as the incident was investigated.
Public address announcements then reminded supporters that to bring pyrotechnics into the ground is an offence.
Eventually a decision was made to move all fans from the Holker Street End and into different sections of the ground before the game could resume.
The match finally got back under way with a warning that any further incidents would see the match abandoned.
