A lorry fire on the M6 motorway saw firefighters from three stations respond.
The fire happened at around 9:15pm last night (October 18) close to Junction 44 of the M6.
Appliances from Carlisle East, West and Longtown were mobilised.
The driver of the lorry had pulled the vehicle off the M6 and onto the Carlisle Bypass.
The fire involved the brakes of the trailer unit of the lorry.
Crews extinguished the fire using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.
