CARLISLE Ambassadors are celebrating the welcoming of their 400th member.

The business network, which was started in 2015, has been promoting and operating a 'business relationship community' which aims to help local businesses in the district build and develop key relationships.

The collective, which also focuses on protecting existing sustainability and incubating new high value businesses', welcomed its 400th member in an event on Tuesday, October 11 at the Carlisle Racecourse.

Enterprise Answers were inducted into network at the event, with Grahame Latus and Mark Cheetham collecting their certificate.

Reflecting on the successes of the local network, project lead at Carlisle Ambassadors Michelle Masters said: "We have seen a steady growth in our membership over the last eight years and we hope to develop our membership further in the coming months and years.

"We firmly believe that building long term effective relationships through local business networking, opens up opportunities leading to business growth."

Cllr John Mallinson, leader of City Council also expressed his delight with the Council funded network's continuing growth.

He said: "It’s great to see Carlisle Ambassadors welcoming more members and going from strength to strength.

"Carlisle has a lot to offer and we should be proud of the economy and our businesses.”
