CUMBRIAN born Helen Skelton has confirmed that she has moved back to her parents' Lake District farm, following her split from husband Richie Myler.

The Strictly star confirmed that her eight year marriage to rugby player Richie had ended back in April.

The news came just four months after she gave birth to their third child, baby daughter Elsie Kate in December.

They also have two young sons Ernie, seven, and Louis, five.

In an interview with the Telegraph, she said that she had moved back to her parents Lake District farm after the split and was 'really happy'.

Discussing her life back on the farm, Helen told The Telegraph: "I can get up in my pyjamas, pull my boots on, pull my dad’s coat on, walk across the fields with the dog and what a joyous way to start the day."

She added that her and her family are "really happy, and that’s all that really matters."

Shutting down any rumours of new romance, Helen said: ""I think if you’ve learnt anything about me in this conversation, it’s that not only is my glass half full, but I’ve currently got a glass.

"I’ve got loads to be thankful for. I’m not going to worry about the one thing I haven’t got."

The Countryfile presenter, 39, was visibly emotional after Strictly last Saturday, October 15 as pro Gorka Marquez told her to believe in herself after her week four performance.

The couple performed a Paso Doble to the song Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela on Saturday night.

The popular pro dancer praised Helen noting that she had been going through a difficult time.
