A Cumbria based law firm has been ranked among the best law firms and lawyers in the UK
Burnetts have seen seven departments and 14 lawyers ranked in the Chambers UK Legal Guide 2023, which ranks the best lawyers and law firms in the UK.
Chambers and Partners has been one of the leading sources of independent legal market intelligence for over 30 years.
It has over 70 researchers ranking the best law firms and solicitors working in the UK legal market and covers 78 specialist areas of UK law.
In its 2023 Guide seven departments – Family, Banking, Medical Negligence, Personal Injury, Agribusiness, Corporate and Commercial Property – achieved rankings in the top two categories.
The family team at Burnetts was recognised for a level of experience that is “second to none” with Simon Mortimer named a Notable Practitioner and Emma Armstrong named as an Associate to Watch.
In Agribusiness, their department was described as being “very dynamic, smart, very innovative and experienced”.
Richard Miller and Joanne McKenzie were both named as Notable Practitioners and Diane Barnes was named as an Associate to Watch.
And their Personal Injury Team was recognised for its “professional and comprehensive service” and described as “one of the most responsive firms I’ve worked with”.
Spencer Knaggs and Paul Brown were both named as Notable Practitioners.
Managing Partner Nick Gutteridge said:
“This is all down to our people. Their care for our clients is genuine and it’s this that sets Burnetts apart, along with their consistent willingness to go that extra mile. To have this recognised so clearly and be ranked among the best law firms in the UK in the 2023 Chambers Guide is wonderful, but actually we’re proud – every day – of our people and our service.”
