Cumbrian swimming star Luke Greenbank will go for glory in the World Short-Course Championships in December.
The Cockermouth ace has been named in an 11-strong British squad for the six-day competition in Australia.
Olympic medallist Greenbank will compete in Melbourne alongside a number of top names in the sport.
And the backstroke star will be out to add to his medal tally which this year brought world silver and European bronze.
Also representing Britain at the 25m FINA event will be Adam Peaty, who is returning to the international stage after a foot injury.
Entering the (swimming) race for Christmas no.1 😉🎄

Ben Proud, Anna Hopkin, Tom Dean, Abbie Wood, Lewis Burras, Imogen Clark, Medi Harris, Isabella Hindley and Daniel Jervis are also in the squad for the competition, which takes place at the Melbourne Aquatics Centre between from December 13-18.
Chris Spice, British Swimming performance director, said: “These World Short Course Championships are a great opportunity for the group to get back into top-level racing early in the season, while also acting as a stepping stone for our ultimate 2023 target of the World Championships in Fukuoka next summer.
”It’s great that we are able to take a team of this strength and experience to Melbourne.
“There is also an important chance for some of the swimmers to experience another world-class arena as part of their ongoing learnings, and we are excited that the team will be able to get involved in and practice more relays across the meet.
“We have a great group and hopefully we will be able to continue our solid preparations as we head into the new year.”
