Keswick School are celebrating after their exam results were higher than both the local and national average.

The government has just published performance data from this summer’s exams for all secondary schools, sixth forms and colleges. It is the first time that school exam data has been published since the start of the pandemic.

The school scored a progress eight score of 0.33, an attainment eight score of 57.9 and 69 per cent of pupils received a grade 5 or above in English and Maths

The school also possesses a successful year with many of their A-level students being accepted into their first-choice universities.

The head teacher at Keswick School, Simon Jackson said:

“This year’s exam results reflect the achievements of our talented students and dedicated staff. Keswick School's ethos is to provide excellence and aspiration in a caring and happy school.

“We appreciate that, in addition to academic achievement, other qualities are equally likely to lead to success later in life.

“It is this ability to broaden horizons that continue to help our students develop into highly articulate, confident and successful young people.”
