Temporary traffic lights remain on a busy city-centre road after major resurfacing work has been completed.
Junction Street, in Carlisle, was the subject of intensive road resurfacing recently that lasted one week non-stop.
Repair work started there on September 26 with a lane closure from the James Street junction of Nelson Bridge, following on through to Charlotte Street and onto Junction Street, when traffic goes back to normal on Shaddongate.
The lane closure remained until October 7.
But it seems motorists are not quite free from roadworks on that busy road, as there will be temporary lights there until later this evening.
In place from 8am this morning until 6pm this evening, Cumbria County Council says this is because they are replacing traffic signal loops damaged by the resurfacing that previously took place.
The lights affect the junction with Shaddongate and the junction with Milbourne Crescent.
